Messier 35

 Open Cluster

 In constellation Auriga

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Discovered by Phillipe Loys de Cheseaux in 1745

and consists of 513 stars. Over 120 stars are brighter

 than mag 13.0. M35 is located 2,800 light years away

and is 24 light years across. It is estimated to be 100

million years old. A faint NGC 2158 can be seen to

the South.
