Discovered by Edmond Halley in 1714. M13 consists

of around 200,000 stars and is located around 25,100

light years away & measuring 145 light years across. 

M13 is estimated to be 14,000,000,000 years old.

In 1974 a message to possible intelligent life was

transmitted to M13.
