Discovered by Edmond Halley in 1714 M13 consists of

 around 200,000 stars and is located around 25,100 light

years away. Measuring 145 light years across. M13 is

estimated to be 14,000,000,000 years old. Small distant

galaxy NGC 6207 can be seen North East of the cluster.
